FAQ

Q: What are the advantages of using Ability One over other professional service providers?

A: Ability One offer coordinated services and are able to join up the gaps between separate service providers. We offer peace of mind that you are being guided by the experts as we’ve helped hundreds of people with serious disabilities acquired from injury. Offering all your financial and life planning needs in one place takes a huge stress away from you and saves you time, money and energy as you do not have to be in contact with lots of different people in different places.

Q: What makes financial planning and life care for people with acquired disabilities different from general services?

A: Getting a large payout after an accident is very different to other kinds of financial situations. You’ll need this money to last for the rest of your life and can’t take investment risks. We’ll devise several different long-term plans that account for any possibilities that might occur. We’ll asses and cost your care, medication, equipment and rehab needs as well as evaluate how to maintain your lifestyle, taking into account your interests and hobbies. Our clients have suffered serious injuries after an accident and we are experienced in organising every little thing that you’ll need.

Q: Why hire your own carers?

A: The largest ongoing expense our clients incur is provision of care within their home. Hiring your own staff can save you between 15-40% compared to the cost of commercial care. Ability One can set up your own care company, providing all the administration requirements including staff payments, superannuation and contracts.  We charge a one-off fee for this as well as a simple monthly fee for the administration. You and your family can be as involved as you like in arranging your care arrangements.

Q: In my senior years I want to make the choice to be cared for in my own home, how can you help?

A: If you have the financial means, you can make the decision to be cared for in your own home, without waiting for Government assessments. Ability One can set you up a care company that allows you to hire staff directly, saving on agency fees. The staff work directly for you and we provide all the administration necessary for this. This helps you build strong relationships with your carers and can also save you up to 40% on commercial care.

Q: How can I find out more about your past work and other clients?

A: You can read our Testimonials to view case studies from real clients and their experiences. You can also read our News & Awards to find out all the latest company news and also see the numerous awards we have won for our services.

Q: How do I find out if Ability One is the right fit for me?

A: Contact us now and we’ll get in touch to arrange a no-obligation consultation where we can go through your individual needs and discuss our services.
